The short version
Pasture collects no personal data. Nothing you type, no messages, no model outputs — nothing leaves your devices.
What data Pasture handles
- Your chat messages are sent from your iPhone to your own Mac over a local, encrypted peer-to-peer connection. They never touch any server we operate.
- Conversation history is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- Model downloads are fetched by your Mac directly from Ollama's servers — Pasture acts only as a UI.
Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data — pages visited and general traffic patterns. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
What Pasture does not do
- We do not collect analytics or crash reports inside the app (yet — if we ever do, it will be opt-in).
- We do not use advertising SDKs.
- We do not have a backend that your data flows through.
- We do not sell or share data — because we don't have any.
Waitlist
If you sign up for the waitlist on this site, your email address is collected solely to notify you when Pasture is available. It is never shared with third parties.
